Sac-O-Suds

Each June (????) Ocmulgee Mountain Bike Association (OMBA)  hosts the Sac-O-Suds 50 mile gravel grinder. The race begins at ???, travels north along the Ocmulgee River on gravel roads and then jumps to single track and horse trails up to the SoS. The return route is faste and mostly gravel. The route will challenge your legs whether you are on a mountain bike or gravel bike.

This grass roots gravel race takes  you through the beautiful Oconee National Forest and challenges your skills as you navigate through dirt, gravel, and a little single track.

The Sac-O-Suds convenience store, located on GA-16 near the Ocmulgee River, is near the half-way point of this race. This store is  famous for being featured in the film My Cousin Vinny.

Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers, and bragging rights are given to all who cross the finish line. Proceeds from this event help OMBA put on races and maintain trails in middle Georgia.
